Lee Kohse
Lee Kohse was born to an impoverished family in the upper middle class of
Crescent City California. At the age of 2 he was sold into white slavery to support his mother's
addiction to beta format video rentals. After years of mining dust for spaghetti western films, Lee's
tenacity and skill with a lathe were noticed by his captors and he came to find himself a low
member of a Mexican Mafia family attempting to corner the market on retread tires in North America.
After escaping his captors, Lee settled in San Diego and turned to art and lounge
singing to make ends meet. With work for lounge singers faltering, he took up art full time in the mid 90's.
Lee co-founded BloodFire Studios in 1998 and began work on the Dark Tarot
Mini Series with BloodFire Studios co-founder Dennis Greenhill taking up the writing duties. Lee is the
creator and primary writer of Kindergoth and is also developing new comics for BloodFire Studios'
ambitious Citadels project.
Currently, Lee lives in La Jolla Ca. doing freelance work as an illustrator, concept
artist, and Art Director of BloodFire Studios.
